Puppy Essentials Pack: What's Included and Why

Quick answer

The Open Farm Puppy Essentials Pack bundles a grain-free dry puppy food, freeze-dried raw recipe, and two dehydrated treat varieties into one value-priced kit designed to support healthy growth and brain development in puppies.

What's inside and why it matters

The pack includes four items: a 22 lb bag of Puppy Grain-Free Dry Dog Food, a 13.5 oz Surf & Turf Freeze Dried Raw Recipe, and 4.5 oz bags of Dehydrated Turkey Treats and Dehydrated Chicken Treats. The dry kibble provides complete, balanced nutrition with high-protein content for growing muscles and DHA for brain development. The freeze-dried raw recipe adds variety and natural enzymes, while the treats offer training rewards without fillers.

This combination lets you rotate textures and proteins without buying separate bags. The dry food works as a daily staple, the freeze-dried raw can be used as a topper or meal, and the treats fit into training sessions. It's a practical way to introduce your puppy to different food forms early.

Who this pack is for and who should skip it

This bundle suits owners who want a complete starter kit with one purchase. It's especially good for puppies that are not picky and can transition between kibble, freeze-dried raw, and treats. The high-protein, grain-free formula works for most breeds but may not be ideal for puppies with specific food sensitivities or those on a strict single-protein diet.

If your puppy has a known allergy to chicken or turkey, the treats won't work. Also, if you prefer to introduce one food at a time, buying individual bags gives you more control. The value pricing saves money compared to buying each item separately, but only if your puppy will eat all four components.

Feeding and transition tips

Start by mixing a small amount of the dry kibble with your puppy's current food over 5-7 days. Introduce the freeze-dried raw and treats one at a time to watch for any digestive upset. The freeze-dried raw can be rehydrated with warm water to make it softer for teething puppies.

Store the dry kibble in a cool, dry place and keep the freeze-dried raw and treats in their sealed bags. Use the treats sparingly during training—each piece is small, so a few go a long way. The pack is designed for puppies up to about 12 months, but always adjust portions based on your puppy's weight and activity level.

Decision rules for the Puppy Essentials Pack

• Choose this pack if:: You want a single purchase that covers daily meals, a nutrient-dense topper, and training treats for your puppy.
• Choose this pack if:: Your puppy is not a picky eater and will accept both kibble and freeze-dried raw food. If your puppy refuses one texture, you may waste part of the bundle.
• Skip this pack if:: Your puppy has a known allergy to chicken or turkey, as both treat bags contain those proteins.
• Skip this pack if:: You prefer to introduce only one new food at a time over a longer period. Buying the dry food and treats individually gives you more control over the transition.
