Discover what's in the Open Farm Senior Support Bundle, how it supports joints and mobility, and who it's best for—plus decision rules to help you choose.
Quick Answer
The Open Farm Senior Support Bundle combines a grain-free senior dry food, hip & joint chews, and bone broth to support mobility and overall senior dog health. It's a convenient all-in-one option, but you should check your dog's specific needs before buying.
Why the Bundle Works for Senior Dogs
As dogs age, their nutritional needs shift. Joint health, digestion, and immune support become more important. The bundle includes recipes with New Zealand green-lipped mussel, a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin, plus pumpkin for digestion and coconut oil for skin and coat health.
The included Hip & Joint Supplement Chews target mobility directly, while the bone broth adds hydration and flavor. This combination addresses multiple senior dog health concerns in one purchase.
What's Not Included and What to Consider
The bundle includes a 4 lb bag of dry food, which may only last a few weeks for larger dogs. If your dog eats more than 2 cups per day, you'll need to buy additional food sooner.
The supplement chews are for dogs, but if your dog has specific health conditions or takes medication, consult your vet before adding supplements. Also, the bone broth is a topper, not a meal replacement.
Decision Rules for Choosing the Senior Support Bundle
- If your dog is a senior (7+ years): The bundle is designed for older dogs needing joint and mobility support. If your dog is showing signs of stiffness or slowing down, this is a good fit.
- If your dog has specific health issues: Always consult your vet before starting new supplements, especially if your dog has chronic conditions or is on medication. Check with your vet first.
- If you prefer a complete meal solution: The bundle includes a 4 lb bag of dry food, which is a starter size. For long-term feeding, plan to purchase additional food separately. Consider the food quantity for your dog's size.
